VIOLIN

Aleksa Aćimović was born in 2008 in Niš. He is a student of the second grade of the High School of Music in Niš in the class of prof. Milena Kocić and a student at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz in the class of prof. Emilia Percana. During his education so far, he has won several awards at national and international competitions:

First prize at the International Competition „ART In“ in Veles, Macedonia 2017, 2018 (Laureate)
First prize at the International Competition „Art of Strings“ in Kragujevac in 2018.
First prize at the International Music Festival in Arandjelovac in 2018.
Second prize at the International Competition in Haskovo (Bulgaria) in 2018.
Second prize at the Republic Competition in Belgrade in 2018.
First prize and the title of Laureate of his category at the 9th International Competition in Niš 2019
First prize and Laureate title at the 14th International Competition in Pernik (Bulgaria) 2019
Special award (100 points) and title of winner at the International Festival „Polyhymnia“ (Skopje) 2021.
First prize at the Republic Competition in Belgrade in 2021.
First prize at the Festival of Primary Music Schools in Vršac in 2021.
First prize at the International Competition in Nis in 2022.
First prize at the international competition „Guarneri Fest“ in Banja Koviljača 2022
First prize at the International Competition „Pearls of Ohrid“ in 2022.

He had his first concerts with the orchestra at the age of nine in the hall „Bulgaria“ in Sofia (Bulgaria) with the orchestra „Simfonijeta“ and conductor Svilen Simeonov, with the Orchestra of HSM Niš with Vladan Karadzov in Niš. With the chamber orchestra „Amoroso“ and Jovan Bogosavljević, he held concerts in the ceremonial hall of the Assembly of the city of Leskovac and the Great Hall of the Kolarac Foundation in Belgrade in 2020. He performed at the „Ohrid Summer“ festival in 2022 and 2023 in the church „St. Sophia“, in the Skopje Philharmonic at the „Violin Fest“ in 2019 and 2021.

He gave recitals in the „Museum of the Macedonian Struggle“ in Skopje (2021) and in the Castle of Culture „Belimarković“ in Vrnjačka Banja (2021). He has trained master classes with Ivana Acimoski Zikic, Lazar Miletic, Nikola Aleksic and Emilio Percan.

Vuk
PETROVIĆ

PIANO

Vuk Petrović was born in 2008 in Niš. He is a student of the second year of the High School of Music, piano department, in the class of professor Milena Pejić, M.Sc.

He has won numerous awards in the country and abroad: laureate at the Competition of Young Pianists in Nis in 2018 and the Festival of Music and Ballet Schools of Serbia in Nis in 2022, first prize at the Republic Competition in Belgrade, the Festival „Pearls of Ohrid“ (Ohrid, North Macedonia ), „Davorin Jenko“ Competition in Belgrade, International Competition „Polyhimnia“ (Skopje, North Macedonia), second prize at the International Music Competition in Zemun, as well as third prize at the Orbetello Competition in Italy and fifth prize at the International Competition in Moscow.

He attended the master courses of pianists Alessandro Dežavan (Italy) and Boris Kraljević (Montenegro/Singapore).

He has performed at numerous concerts and events: School Days, concerts of award-winning students, the „Great Anniversary“ cycle – 100 years since the death of Claude Debussy, where he presented his opus „Children’s Corner“ with a lecture and interpretation, and the „Filip’s Days“ festival. His performances at the Nishville Jazz Festival, where he performed soundtracks for silent films, are also significant.

In addition to performing, he has a great love for composing. For his two sonatas for solo piano under the mentorship of Prof. Marjana Mitrović-Stepanović, he received first prizes at the Republic Festival of Children’s Musical Creativity „Children of Composers“ and premiered them at the concerts „Professors and students of the music school – Niš, play and create for you“ on World Music Day.
